The Long Cane District presents their annual Pinewood Derby competition during the month of February of each year.  This competition, is open to any registered Cub Scout in the Long Cane District who desires to compete.  The car used in the competition must be made AFTER last year's Pinewood Derby by the registered Cub Scout.  The Cub Scout may receive some help in the design, development, and creation of the Pinewood Derby car; but MOST of the work MUST be done by the Cub Scout himself.  The racing car used, must be an official Grand Prix Pinewood Derby racing car, that is part of the Grand Prix Pinewood Derby kit, authorized by the Boy Scouts of America.  No pre-fabricated, or hand-made cars will be permitted.
